BBA (British Board of Agrément)

The BBA provides authoritative, independent information on the performance of building products. Under BBA assessment, Yorkon buildings undergo rigorous structural tests - giving you the assurance that they provide outstanding performance.

Independent BBA certification confirms that:

The steel structure will provide you with a minimum life of 60 years.
External envelope and internal finishes give you a design life of up to 60 years.

Our BBA certification confirms our buildings comply with the relevant Building Regulations (England, Wales and Northern Ireland), The Building Standards (Scotland) and other permanent building standards.

ISO 14001 for Environmental Performance

Yorkon, as part of Portakabin, achieved ISO 14001 accreditation - the internationally recognised standard for reducing impact on the environment. This followed a rigorous independent assessment of the company's environmental policy, compliance with legislation, control systems and procedures, and targets for further improving environmental performance.

LABC (Local Authority Building Control)

LABC specialises in developing fast-track routes through the regulatory procedures for standard buildings, modular buildings or building systems. All Local Authorities throughout England and Wales are members of LABC. Approval of our buildings by LABC assures you that they meet rigorous, repeatable standards.
